This sweet and savory craveable bite will be a smash hit at your next cocktail gathering. Quick and easy to assemble, it can easily be made up to a day in advance if covered tightly in the fridge. Bring to room temperature before serving with crostini and crackers. Yum!

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz tub Mascarpone Cheese, room temperature

  • 1/3 cup Heavy Cream, Half n Half or Milk

  • 3 Tbs Fig Jam or Fig Butter

  • 1 Tbs Balsamic Vinegar

  • Sriracha (Optional, to taste)

  • Prosciutto d’ Parma (Optional)

  • Chopped Pecans or Pistachios (Optional)

  • Pinch Kosher Salt

Directions

  • In a medium bowl, whip mascarpone cheese with a whisk while gradually adding heavy cream/milk until it reaches a fluffy and spreadable texture. Add a pinch of salt and stir. Set aside.
  • In a small bowl mix Fig Jam, Balsamic Vinegar and Sriracha (if using) until it thins to a “drizzle-able” consistency. Set aside.
  • On a small plate or platter, spoon mascarpone mixture and spread to an even layer. Add drizzles or droplets of fig mixture in random areas on top of the mascarpone. Use a butter knife to swirl the two mixtures together until it looks pretty to you.
  • (Optional, but highly recommended) Rip 2-3 pieces of thinly sliced prosciutto d’parma into small pieces and tuck into the dip. Sprinkle with nuts. Serve immediately with crostini and crackers.
